About me

I am a qualified Teacher and I am certified by the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).
I came to the Alexander Technique when I had an injury causing pain in my coccyx (tailbone). Within a week I had abandoned the coccyx support cushion I had been using.
I had 10 years of lessons before training as an Alexander Technique Teacher. I was a Librarian, organising author events and reading groups. The lessons I had in the Technique helped me improve my public speaking at the many author and reading events I hosted. I found myself doing quite a bit of staff training, which developed into running Silver Surfer sessions for the public in the library. It was in this work I developed my passion for teaching.
Eventually, I decided to train as an Alexander Technique Teacher at The Constructive Teaching Centre, Imperial Wharf, SW6.
The Alexander Technique is a journey towards self-confidence, improved ease of movement and is an exploration in mindfulness and body awareness. If you are curious and want to know more about how the Alexander Technique can help you, please get in touch. Email me or telephone 07902 105 508
